Turkey Meatball Pasta

Ingredients
  

For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
For the Pasta
  • 12 oz pasta such as penne or spaghetti
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Mixing bowl
  • Pot for pasta

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into small meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the skillet with the meatballs. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta with the meatballs and sauce. Serve warm.
