Ingredients

For the Dip
  • 225 g cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
For the Spider Web
  • 2 tbsp black olive spread or balsamic glaze

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Serving dish
  • Piping bag or plastic bag

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning mix, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  2. Spread the dip evenly into a serving dish. You can use a round dish for a classic web effect.
  3. Place the black olive spread (or balsamic glaze) into a piping bag with a small tip, or a plastic bag with a corner snipped off.
  4. Pipe concentric circles of the black olive spread onto the surface of the dip, starting from the center and working outwards.
  5. Using a toothpick or the tip of a knife, drag lines from the center outwards through the circles to create the spider web pattern. Be sure to wipe the toothpick clean between drags.
  6. Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up slightly.
  7. Serve with your favorite crackers, chips, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

For an extra spooky touch, you can add a plastic spider on top of the web before serving. This dip is best served chilled.
