- Prepare the mascarpone cream: In a bowl, beat the egg yolks with half of the sugar until pale and creamy.
- Add the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract to the egg yolk mixture. Beat until smooth and well combined.
- In a separate clean bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining sugar and continue beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
- Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the mascarpone mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Prepare the coffee soak: In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).
- Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are moistened but not soggy. Break them to fit the bottom of your serving cups.
- Layer the cups: Place a layer of soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of each serving cup.
- Top the ladyfingers with a generous layer of the mascarpone cream.
- Repeat the layers if desired, finishing with a layer of mascarpone cream.
- Chill the tiramisu cups in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the cream to set.
- Before serving, dust the tops with unsweetened cocoa powder.
Notes
For a Snoopy-themed presentation, you can add small edible Snoopy decorations or draw Snoopy faces on the cups with edible marker before dusting with cocoa powder.
