Ingredients

For the Cupcakes
  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
For the Frosting and Decoration
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cups Powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 oz Black candy melts for ears
  • 1 oz Red candy melts for collar
  • 2 Black edible marker or black frosting

Equipment

  • Cupcake pan
  • Cupcake liners
  • Mixing bowls
  • Whisk
  • Spatula
  • Piping bag
  • Round piping tip

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until just combined.
  4. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  5. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
  6. Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. While the cupcakes cool, prepare the frosting. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy.
  8. Gradually add the powdered sugar, alternating with the milk, and beat until smooth and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  9. Melt the black candy melts according to package directions. Pour into a piping bag with a round tip. Pipe two black ears onto each cupcake.
  10. Frost the cupcakes with white frosting. You can use a piping bag or a spatula.
  11. Melt the red candy melts and pipe a thin red collar around the base of the frosted area.
  12. Use the black edible marker or black frosting to draw Snoopy's eyes and nose on the white frosting.

Notes

You can also use black fondant for the ears and red fondant for the collar.
