- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth, heavy cream, rice, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir to combine.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, nestling it into the rice mixture. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the chicken is cooked through.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover and let sit for 2 minutes to melt the cheese before serving.
