- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onion is soft.
- Transfer the beef mixture to the slow cooker.
- Add the black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
- Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
