- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork in the slow cooker.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard.
- Pour the sauce over the pork in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and shreds easily.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
- Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns, topped with coleslaw if desired.
