Ingredients
  

For the Cake
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
