- Crack the eggs into a small bowl. Add milk (if using), salt, and pepper. Whisk until the yolks and whites are combined.
- Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-low heat.
- Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Let the eggs cook for about 30 seconds without stirring, until the edges begin to set.
- Gently push the cooked eggs from the edges toward the center with a spatula, allowing the uncooked egg to flow to the edges.
- Continue this process until the eggs are mostly cooked but still slightly wet. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking.
Notes
Serve immediately. You can add cheese, vegetables, or herbs to the eggs before cooking for added flavor.
