Ingredients
  

For the Oatmeal
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water or milk
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional
Toppings
  • 1 tbsp chopped nuts optional
  • 1 tbsp fresh berries optional

  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Bring water or milk to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Stir in the oats and reduce heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in honey or maple syrup and vanilla extract if using.
  4. Serve hot with your choice of toppings.
