Ingredients
  

For the Salad
  • 1 head Lettuce e.g., romaine, butter, or mixed greens
  • 1 medium Cucumber sliced
  • 2 medium Tomatoes chopped
  • 1/2 cup Carrot shredded
For the Dressing
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Vinegar e.g., red wine, balsamic, or apple cider
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Equipment

  • Large bowl
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Method
 

  1. Wash and prepare all salad ingredients. Tear lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Slice the cucumber and chop the tomatoes. Shred the carrot.
  2. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together the olive oil, vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper for the dressing.
  3. Combine the prepared salad ingredients in a large bowl.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or radishes. You can also add protein such as grilled chicken or chickpeas.
