Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
For the Filling
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • Mixing bowl
  • Parchment paper

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and maple syrup. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine pecans, maple syrup, heavy cream, and butter. Stir until the mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour the pecan mixture over the crust and spread evenly. Sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
