- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches, 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Toss gently to coat the peaches evenly.
- Pour the peach mixture into the 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt for the biscuit topping.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Drop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough over the peach mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peach filling is bubbly.
- Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving.
