Ingredients
  

For the Pasta
  • 12 oz pasta any shape
  • 1 tbsp salt
For the Sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Colander
  • Skillet

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce. Serve immediately.
