Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
For the Topping
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans optional
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. Cut the cinnamon rolls into quarters and spread them evenly in the dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Pour the mixture over the cinnamon rolls.
  3. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or for at least 8 hours.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Remove the plastic wrap and drizzle the melted butter over the top. Sprinkle with chopped pecans if using.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
  6. Drizzle the icing from the cinnamon roll package over the top before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk. You can also add a sprinkle of brown sugar before baking for extra sweetness.
