Ingredients
  

For the Main Dish
  • 1 whole chicken about 4-5 lbs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
For the Side Dish
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
For the Dessert
  • 1 chocolate cake store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rub the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and cook for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. While the chicken cooks, prepare the mashed potatoes by mixing them with butter and milk.
  5. Serve the chicken with mashed potatoes and a slice of chocolate cake topped with whipped cream.
