Ingredients
  

For the Cookies
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For Decoration
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • sprinkles assorted colors

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet. Flatten slightly with your hand.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. Mix powdered sugar and milk to make a glaze. Drizzle over cooled cookies and add sprinkles.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days. For a richer flavor, add a pinch of cinnamon to the dough.
