Ingredients
  

For the Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 lbs potatoes peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup milk warmed
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • Potato masher
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Place potatoes in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  2. Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add butter, milk, salt, and pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.
  5. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve warm.
