Kid-Friendly Breakfast Burritos

These breakfast burritos are a fun and tasty way to start the day for kids. They are customizable with your child's favorite ingredients.

Ingredients
  

For the Burritos
  • 4 Flour tortillas 6-inch
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 1/4 cup Cooked breakfast sausage or bacon Crumbled
  • 1/4 cup Diced bell peppers Optional
  • 1/4 cup Diced onion Optional

Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Whisk

Method
 

  1. Whisk eggs and milk together in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture.
  3. Cook, stirring gently, until eggs are set but still moist. Stir in cheese, sausage or bacon, and optional vegetables.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  5. Spoon the egg mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Fold in the sides, then roll up tightly to form burritos.

Notes

Serve immediately or wrap in foil for on-the-go. You can add salsa or sour cream for extra flavor.
