Servings: 10 mummies
Course: Appetizer, Snacks
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

For the Mummies
  • 10 hot dogs
  • 1 sheet refrigerated crescent roll dough
For the Eyes
  • 10 mustard dots or candy eyes for decorating

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 10 triangles. Cut each triangle lengthwise into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.
  3. Wrap each hot dog with the dough strips, leaving a small gap for the 'face'. You can crisscross the strips to create a mummy effect.
  4. Place the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Add two dots of mustard or candy eyes to each mummy's face.

Notes

Serve warm as a fun Halloween treat.
