Ingredients

For the Pork Chops
  • 4 bone-in pork chops about 1-inch thick
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Garlic Butter Green Beans
  • 1 lb green beans trimmed
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add green beans to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter. Cook for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.
  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter over them. Serve immediately.
