Ingredients

For the Chicken
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and thyme, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Return chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  5. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
