  • 4 slices bread thick-cut or brioche works best
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter for frying
For Serving
  • maple syrup
  • fresh berries
  • powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  4. Place the bread in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh berries, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
