Easy Lasagna

A simple and delicious lasagna recipe perfect for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients
  

For the Meat Sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce 24 ounce
For the Cheese Filling
  • 15 ounce ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg
For Assembly
  • 9 sheets lasagna noodles uncooked

  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Large skillet
  • Saucepan

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  3. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and heat through.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese, and the egg. Mix well.
  5. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of your baking dish.
  6. Arrange 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.
  7. Layer with about one-third of the remaining meat sauce.
  8. Repeat the layers: noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, and another third of the meat sauce.
  9. Top with the remaining noodles, the rest of the meat sauce, and the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  10. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Let the lasagna stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can add cooked vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the meat sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
