- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Stir in the spaghetti sauce and heat through.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese, and the egg. Mix well.
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of your baking dish.
- Arrange 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles.
- Layer with about one-third of the remaining meat sauce.
- Repeat the layers: noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, and another third of the meat sauce.
- Top with the remaining noodles, the rest of the meat sauce, and the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the lasagna stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can add cooked vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the meat sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
