Ingredients
  

For the Cookies
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 egg
For Decoration
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • food coloring optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the baking sheet. Flatten slightly.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
  5. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to make a glaze. Add food coloring if desired.
  6. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies and let set before serving.
