  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Frosting
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
  6. For the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Spread over the cooled cake.
