Easter Brunch Casserole

Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 6 cups cubed bread day-old works best
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 9x13 inch baking dish
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the cubed bread evenly in the baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour over the bread and cheese.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
  5. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
