Ingredients
  

For the Ham and Cheese Strata
  • 6 slices Bread cubed
  • 1 cup Cooked ham chopped
  • 1.5 cups Cheddar cheese shredded
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
For the Fruit Salad
  • 1 pint Strawberries sliced
  • 2 cups Cantaloupe cubed
  • 2 cups Honeydew melon cubed
  • 1 cup Blueberries

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread, chopped ham, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread mixture in the baking dish. Gently toss to combine.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the strata is puffed and golden brown.
  6. While the strata bakes, prepare the fruit salad. In a medium bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and blueberries.
  7. Serve the ham and cheese strata with the fresh fruit salad.

Notes

You can add other vegetables like spinach or bell peppers to the strata for extra flavor and nutrients.
