Ingredients
  

For the Stew
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 pound Beef stew meat cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 4 cups Beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef and brown on all sides.
  3. Add onion, carrots, and celery to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in beef broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for at least 30 minutes, or until beef is tender.
