Ingredients
  

For the Beef Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef lean
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
For Serving
  • 8 taco shells hard or soft
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup salsa

Method
 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
  3. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  4. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
  6. Fill the taco shells with the beef mixture and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
