- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add asparagus and cook for 5-6 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Stir in lemon juice and cook for 1 minute to combine flavors.
- Serve warm.
