Ingredients
  

For the Casserole
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz elbow macaroni uncooked
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the beef mixture in a large bowl. Transfer to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes
