Ingredients
Method
- For Macaroni and Cheese: Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese, salt, and pepper until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Add drained macaroni and stir to coat. Pour into a greased baking dish.
- For Fried Chicken: In a shallow dish, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In another shallow dish, whisk eggs and milk.
- Dip chicken pieces first in the egg mixture, then dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well coated. Shake off excess flour.
- Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully place chicken pieces in the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the skillet. Fry for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and drain on paper towels.
- Bake Macaroni and Cheese at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Serve fried chicken with macaroni and cheese.
