Method
- Preheat your oven to 190C (375F).
- Place the sliced apples in a baking dish. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cold butter, and brown sugar. Rub the butter into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Spread the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Serve warm, perhaps with cream or ice cream.
Notes
You can add a handful of oats to the crumble topping for extra texture.
