Ingredients
  

For the French Toast
  • 4 slices bread thick-cut
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
For the Apple Topping
  • 1 apple peeled and sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the bread until golden brown on both sides.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and add sliced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until apples are tender.
  5. Serve the French toast topped with the apple mixture.
